The 'Post-Ramadan' Slump: How to Stay on Track

Eid is over. The decorations are down. And suddenly, opening the Mushaf feels 10 times harder. The 'Post-Ramadan Slump' is natural, but it can be dangerous if it leads to abandonment.

Shift from Quantity to Consistency

In Ramadan, you might have read 1 Juz a day. In Shawwal, do not try to maintain that if it burns you out. Shift to the 'Minimum Viable Dose'—perhaps 1 page a day, or even 5 lines. The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are consistent, even if small.

Keep the Environment Alive

Ramadan was easy because everyone was doing it. Now, you must curate your own environment. Keep the prayer mat out in the living room. Play Quran in the car. Keep the visual cues of worship present in your daily life.
