The 30th Juz (Juz Amma) is filled with short, powerful Surahs revealed in Makkah. These are perfect for young children to begin their journey with the Quran.
Where to Start?
Most parents start with Surah Al-Fatiha, then move to Surah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and An-Nas. After that, work backwards from Surah An-Nas towards An-Naba.
The 'One Ayah' Rule
For children under 7, aim for just one Ayah (verse) per day. It seems small, but consistent small steps lead to giant leaps. Overloading a child causes burnout.
Use Hand Actions
Connect meanings to actions. When reciting "Tabbat yada Abi Lahab" (Perish the hands of Abu Lahab), show hands. Physical association helps memory retention significantly in young developing brains.
