Research shows that doubt in teenagers often stems not from theology, but from emotional disconnection or perceived hypocrisy. If they see parents praying but acting harshly, they reject the prayer along with the harshness.
Listen More, Preach Less
When a teen asks a controversial question, do not shut them down with "Astaghfirullah". Say: "That's a deep question. Why do you feel that way?" Let them explore their doubts safely with you. If you judge them, they will just take their questions to the internet, which is far more dangerous.
Make Deen Relevant
Connect Islam to their causes—justice, environment, mental health. Show them that the Prophet (PBUH) was the ultimate activist and that Islam solves the modern problems they care about.
